Junior Creative Review

One of my favorite parts of advertising is working with junior talent: to help people find their voice in meetings or learn how to brainstorm more effectively or even land their first jobs.

In the past, I’ve partnered with the Scholastic Art Awards to serve as a design and digital art judge, the One Club for Creativity as a portfolio judge, and Coffee at a Distance as a mentor. Now I offer my services to students, recent grads, and junior creatives for portfolio reviews, Q&A, and any ad-related advice I can give.

Fill out the form to submit your portfolio for review. Expect feedback within a week of submission. I strive to give clear, concise, and actionable feedback to everyone who submits their work. I know you spent a lot of time on your book and I want to respect that and help you make it better.

Educators

Are you an educator looking to bring some real world experience into the classroom? Wonderful I love speaking with students either individually or as a class to help them better understand what we do in advertising and how to be better creatives. Please reach out to me directly if you’re interested in working together.

I’ve given talks to students from middle school to university, notably at the University of Oregon and Portland State University.

Past presentations include:

  • What is an art director?

  • How to be a bad creative

  • Brainstorming 101

  • Writing for art directors
